I LOVE MY JOB

I tell you no two days are ever the same at the store, and you never know who will show up with fantastic family treasures!

Yesterday we received a silver footed dish that is reinforced with cement. I have never seen anything like this before! The candle stick that came in with it is also reinforced with cement, but also a rod. WOW – can you imagine the crafting skills back in the day!

The compote has such a beautiful design and will look stunning when it is polished!

This stunning jug is in need of a good cleaning. The jug / vase was made by Frigidaire in the 1930 and is Vaseline glass. The jug is missing the original stopper and has a cork stopper in its place.

Who wouldn’t love this in their home as a wine decanter, water decanter, or even as a vase with beautiful cut flowers?

I hope you all have a wonderful day! Next on my list of favs new in the store are some late 1800 bullet reloading tools. Totally awesome!!

Vintage Toys

Do you have any of your old toys from when you were a kid? I don’t, but I do have some of the kids.

What are some of your favorites? There are some of my favorite when I was a kid!

Here are a few of my favorites that we have in the store.

If you’re a toy collector, or looking for something for the kids, we have a nice selection of collectible toys, and everyday toys for the kids to play with – books, matchbox cars, doll house furniture, tea party sets, and so much more!

New at the Store

Vintage Planter Collections

I have a LOVE and addiction for vintage planters. If you have been in the store within the last several months you know that I have some plants that are growing like weeds!

I had to bring all my plants to the store because I kept killing them at home because I am never there and kept forgetting to water them.

We have a large selection of vintage planters – various styles, colors, and sizes! What is not to love about these beauties?

Take a look at these planters – I so need to get my head out of the clouds and use my planters with a little more imagination! And add color to more areas of my life! 🙂

I hope you guys feel inspired add to your collections, or use your collections in new ways! Now I am off to look at our planters with a different eye!

Holiday Cooking & Entertaining

The holidays are fast approaching. You have friends and family coming for dinner, brunch, or just dessert & coffee.

You’re working on your menu, gathering ingredients, and pulling your dishes out of your china cabinet, and you realize you were meaning to stop and pick up a matching serving bowl for mom’s dinnerware, or your turkey won’t fit in the roaster you currently have!

Where do you find those special pieces this close to the holidays???You’re in luck. We have a large selection of turkey roasters, gravy boats, pie and cake servers relish dishes, and more for your holiday entertaining needs.

We have many pieces of Franciscan Desert Rose dinnerware, including dinner plates, gravy boat, salt & pepper shakers, and more!

Just serving brunch this year? We have a few very nice silver plate coffee service sets.

aahhh, nothing like a vintage enamel roasters – turkey never tasted sooo good!
