When the girls were little they just loved Easter, coloring eggs, making cookies, and then of course waiting for the Easter bunny to come and hide the eggs.
There was one year that they decided that they wanted me to wait till after Easter to get their basket. Their thinking – they could get a bigger basket for less money.
I didn’t think this was a very good idea, and guess what, I was right!! They cried and cried Easter morning because the Easter bunny didn’t bring their basket!
When John came along he wasn’t much into the baskets as the girls were, so I had to start thinking outside the box.
Below are some adorable thinking outside of the box Easter basket ideas, and yes some of these baskets can be found in the store!
This dump truck so so cute as an Easter basket, and what little boy or girl wouldn’t want one?
Now with this one, all you have to do is add a little candy, a book or 2 about Easter or some little cars & trucks, and you have one happy kid!
There are so many ideas and vintage items to create your own diy Easter basket this year. Right now I am looking round the store some more looking for more ideas! I love thinking outside the box!!

Have an awesome day!
