Vintage Wood Boxes Repurposed

I don’t know about you, but I love old boxes. I often wonder about the history of each box, and some have the most amazing graphics on them.

The re-purposing ideas for boxes are endless as the size and style of boxes available.

These cheese boxes are so cute. You can add flowers, wood spools, vintage kitchen gadgets, and so much more.

This is a great way to re-purpose an old primitive box for the larger dog.

I watched a couple of foals growing up, and when they were first born her legs were so long, they had to bend over to eat grass because their legs were so long!

Have a great week!

Unique Planters

With the last couple days of warm weather here in Colorado I am thinking about planting flowers. Yes, I have to wait a couple more months, but that doesn’t mean that we have to stop planning and collecting unique planters.

Love planting in galvanized buckets. I have a couple of chicken feeders that are going to get planted also!!

I have an old mop bucket just like this. Just wait till I get planted and everyone is going to go nuts!! 🙂

Are you looking for old chicken planters, galvanized buckets, mop buckets to plant this spring?? Guess what – I am not using all of them. I have a few saved for customers.

Have a great day!

Valentine Day Decoration Ideas

I have never been one to decorate my home for holidays other than Thanksgiving and Christmas. Are you one of those that decorate for all of the holidays? Do you decorate a tree for Valentine’s Day?

My girls and I always had fun looking for the perfect valentine cards for them to take to school.

We have a small selection of vintage valentine cards in the store. They are so cute and I just love the sayings and graphics.

These hearts are so cute and they kids could love creating these. I think they would also be adorable on your valentine tree!

If you decorate a tree for valentines day or have special valentines decor, we would love to see it!

Have an awesome day.

Fall Decorating

I am a pretty simple girl at heart, and I like to decorate simply also. That is not to say I don’t have collections, but I like to simply add fall colors and decor in and around my every day decor!

Do you go all out? or are you a simple decorator also? Please share your fall decorating pics with us!

I think this vase is so pretty, yet is elegant enough for a dinner party table, or entry table.

I love decorating with my vintage everyday decor. Look at this beautiful scale all dolled up for fall.

I think this would be super cute with a little more color and great for entry way or it would be awesome on the mantle!

Have an awesome week. Don’t forget to share your pics with us!

One Plus One = Fabulous!

So many times we hear, “I love this but I don’t know what I would do with it or where I would put it!” Finding creative ways to use the items you fall in love with gives them a place in your home. That is our goal!

For instance, one of Nancie’s favorite one plus ones is to pair a cute plant with an even cuter item one wouldn’t immediately think of to plant in. (Between you and me, I think she looks at everything as a possible planter!!!) Teri used a dust pan as a planter!

Another one plus one is to add a table top to a barrel, in this case I used a vintage nail barrel, and create an instant end table for a small space! Add your own touches like a small lamp, picture frames, or seasonal decor to create a cozy corner.

Crocks, vintage metal pots, and vases are perfect containers for kitchen utensils. Loretta chose to house her collection of wood rolling pins in a metal pot that may not be suitable for cooking but is absolutely perfect as a display piece!

Come on in and find your perfect one plus one pieces to take home to create your cozy displays! When you fall in love with an item but think, “What can I use this for?,” just ask! We love to chat about fun uses for our beloved antiques!

Re-Purposed Old Doors

Let’s talk old doors today. Olds doors in themselves are such a work of art, and if you’re lucky to have the original hardware, it can’t get any better!

There are soooo many uses for old doors. I use them as dividers at antique shows, and then hang signs, birdhouses, and more on them.

One of my favorite shows is Flea Market Flip, and I have seen many old door flips, but never as a bar, and this bar is totally awesome!!

Can you imagine this in a rustic cabin????

I have a couple of corner cabinets made out of old doors and I just love them. They aren’t too big and take up a lot of space, and the rustic hardware is totally awesome!

This stunning potting bench would look awesome either in the house full of beautiful house plants, or on the deck with lots of flowers and color!

I just may have inspired myself to move my potting bench to the patio by the shop so that I can enjoy it when I am relaxing and enjoying the sun!

I hope you guys feel inspired to spend a few minutes a day just enjoying life around you, and thinking about your next project! We love pics, so please tag us when sharing!

Thanks for stopping by today, and every day to see what we’re up to!

Have an awesome week.

Hostess Gift Ideas

As a hostess one of the things I have always enjoyed were handmade gifts. Some of my favorites to give and receive is handmade fudge, cookies, or maybe a good bottle of wine!

Is your hostess a coffee lover? What better than a loaf of homemade banana bread with some flavored coffee!

Or for the hostess that loves to spend time in the kitchen, how about some new towels, and new cooking utensils.

Can’t you just imagine to look on your hostess’ face when you put a little thought into a special gift for her!

Have an awesome day!
