Today’s Inspiration

I don’t know about you, but I need a little beautiful color and inspiration. Some of my flowers are doing ok, and then the heat in Colorado has made a few sad!

I am starting to visualize my garden next year. I have a new area that we are starting to work on, but most of the work won’t happen till spring.

Until then, we have these beautiful pics to look at!

I  just picked up a couple of perennials on sale, and I have an adorable mop bucket that I am going to put one in. Can’t wait to share pics!

Adding Color to the Kitchen with Plants

This is our first installment of our new “Adding Color Series” ~ “Adding Color to the Kitchen” (which by the way, will be more than one post).

In the past I have shared creative ideas here & there, but this time I am going a little further.

I am going to give you some creative ways to add color and mix things you would never think of!

A lot of us has some of grandma’s china, and we don’t use it, but sometimes we want to have a piece or two out to look at. This is a gorgeous piece that we have turned into a planter. This is so pretty that you could put it any where in the house!

Don’t have grandma’s china, but you love the sifter you two used while baking. How about the violet planted in grandma’s sifter?

Maybe we are a little more retro feeling ~ how about using an vintage bread tin.

or, for the car lover here is another idea

All of these ideas will look awesome sitting on your kitchen counter, on your Hoosier, on top of your kitchen cabinets, or on top of your frig! Don’t forget to share pics with us!

Have a great day, and check back soon for our next installment of adding color to the kitchen!

Spring has Sprung

Spring has Sprung at the Dumdi Ranch. Besides the colors and flowers that come with spring, and warm weather, and I love that babies  start showing up! I LOVE watching lambs play and run.

Below is mom & baby, baby and then Katie & Maggie (mom & daughter) enjoying the beautiful Colorado weather!

Gardening with Copper

Not quite sure what to do with those old copper pots we have at the store? Well, wonder no longer. Here is a wonderful idea, and the copper flower pots already have holes in them for water drainage.

Take these copper flower pots from this –
